Celtic Mini Fencing Club Swansea Is Fencing for Me?

Is fencing for me, or what is fencing all about? ...

Celtic Mini Fencing club is a SPECIALIST childrens fencing club based in and around Swansea, Neath and Port Talbot.

Our sister club is "Celtic Sword" Fencing Club www.celticswordclub.co.uk.

Opening in September 2012 we are already , and hsve been for almost 5 years, the LARGEST fencing club in Wales with over 90 members!

We are the ONLY club in Wales catering entirely for young people aged about 7 to 14. We use both PLASTIC and METAL swords in DIFFERENT classes. Metal swords for most of our classes BUT PLASTIC SWORDS for the YOUNGER children in FUN, GAMES BASED classes! We take EVEN younger children at our BAGLAN classes please enquire!

We are a specialist club concentrating on teaching young people from ages about 7 (some 6 year olds taken But even younger ones at the Baglan Classes) to 14 using the new British Fencing system designed for introducing people (both children and adults) to fencing in a safe and user friendly way, called GoFence! However we do cater for progression to an intermediate class using metal swords etc. but by invitation only (if suitable, and if this is what the child wants)!
The club is run by an experienced fencing coach, who is British Fencing Association and British Academy of Fencing qualified and holds a current CRB certificate and is also specialy trained in the teaching of GoFence fencing.
In England there have been clubs and schools using this system to introduce young people to fencing in a fun and family friendly way with great success. This is the first opportunity to undertake this exciting sport using this SAFE, LIGHWEIGHT approach in Wales.

NOTE: WE ARE NOT CONNECTED WITH SWANSEA FENCING CLUB!
